This is what Thanksgiving is all about, security in a new world...in this case without Saddam. Many thanks for your efforts and God bless.

Good work! We wish this for all Iraq.

'this area is safe now because of the Marines.

If you read the article you'd know your statement is misleading.

Read below...

“We’ve been working with the Iraqi Police in the area, making sure they can do their jobs and helping them with anything they need,” said Cpl. Jayson A. Pihajlic, a 21-year-old squad leader and native of Lake Orion, Mich. “At this point they have everything under control and can handle it all themselves.”

Yes the marines did an excellent job of preparing the Iraqi Police to preform their job when the Marines move on to help train others and secure more areas.

Strange, perhaps my statemnet is misleading is becausehalf of my comment is missing.

I'm sorry. please forgive me. What is the rest of your statement?
I see no problem with syn's frag message. Compared with Detroit or Flint, it's probably safer right now. I'll have to check the coalition site for the stats for the heck of it and compare them to those US cities. Anyhow, we're giving thanks today for having such dedicated people serving on our behalf.
Here's a stat link. http://icasualties.org/oif_a/CasualtyTrends.htm If Iraq is around 25 million people, extrapolate that to 3 million for Detroit and Iraq may be safer at this time.
Great News and "Happy Thanksgiving"
