Fightin' 6th is Going Home!
We knew that this time would arrive and while we are excited to return home, we must thank each and every one of you for your support over the past year. A very special "THANK YOU!!" to the guys and gals at VOX for assisting us during the initial stages and we definitely could not have done it without them! When we first started this blog, they understood the complications of our internet connectivity here and kept in touch with us to ensure that everything was running smooth.
We hope that this site brought some newsworthy information, but if you want to keep up with the news here in Fallujah, Regimental Combat Team 1 has started their own VOX blog. They have already posted a few articles and we encourage you to give them a look and once in a while, give them a shout.
We decided to post a picture of the crew that has brought you the Fightin' 6th blog.

Wow!!!! I'm so happy you're all on your way home. Thanks for the excellent and inspiring perspective on your experience there. It's been great to have a source other than the traditional media, which as we know doesn't typically seek out the good stories.
Safe travels to all of you!
Thanks for posting on this blog. For me, it was about the only way I could get the boots on the ground info that the main media here won't post. I'll bookmark RCT-1 with my other on-location blogs to keep abreast of news in Iraq.
Hope you have a good trip home.

Hello, thank you so much for this beautiful blog. I am in the process of learning everything I can on military work as I am using my ministry/company to honor soldiers in a special way. I want to get to know soldiers so I can understand your situation better and your blog was fantastic! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Continue your great work!!!
Have a blessed day!

Dear Fightin' 6th Crew,
Where do I begin? "Thank you" just doesn't seem enough to say. In fact, I can't put into words, what your hard work and dedication has meant to me and many others. I first found you when my son was in Iraq last year. He is currently stateside, but preparing for another deployment. I will miss the connection your provided, from Iraq to home. I am so thanful that you are all coming home. I know how ecstatic your family is, and I'm sure you are too. Pleas know that you helped to keep me sane. Thank you thank you thank you. "Praying God's grace will keep you safe, 'til they bring you boys back home".
With many blessings......
