Hi everyone, RCT-6 is back in eastern al Anbar Province and ready for another busy year. We want to express our gratitude to RCT-1 as they head home for some much deserved R&R. They did an amazing job during their deployment and have truly set us up for success.

This year will be different from the Fightin' Sixth's last deployment, and we are ready for it. The province is now officially under Iraqi control and the Iraqi Army and Iraqi police have the security situation well in hand. We are here to assist them as needed, but they have grown by leaps and bounds and are a very capable force. Provincial elections are just around the corner, and we are looking forward to a peaceful transition of power so Iraqi civil authorities can continue their hard work improving the lives of their citizens.

We are trained, motivated and ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work. We thank you all for your support and we hope to hear more from you as the year progresses. Ooorah.
